Coco Chocolate School

The Sydney Chocolate School opened in August 2011. The Coco Chocolate chocolatiers will be training full day courses, bespoke courses, corporate events and school holiday programs for 2012!

The Sydney Chocolate School takes place at our new kitchens at Middle Head. The schools take place in a fun and friendly environment overlooking Sydney Harbour! Each school ensures individual attention as well as creating a welcoming group environment.

1. Full Day Course $290
10am-4pm
Includes lunch at Burnt Orange and a selection of chocolate made on the day to take home (value $50.00). Last Sunday and Last Thursday of every month (Excluding December).

Beginning with an introductory talk about cocoa and the history of chocolate, delegates will discover the chocolate making process from bean to bar. Over a freshly made hot chocolate, we discuss the tree and its delicious fruit and cultivation...Then the chocolate making begins!
Delegates will:

• Learn how to hand temper chocolate on marble (Think Vianne in Chocolat!)
• Make organic chocolate bars
• Make moulded chocolates
• Make fruit filled broken chocolate
• Create decadent rose creams with pure 100% organic rose oil topped with crystallised rose petals
• Make hand tempered and hand flaked organic hot chocolate


2. Half Day Course $150
10am-1pm or 2pm-5pm
Last Wednesday, Saturday and Last Friday of every month (Excluding December)

3. Mini Chocolate School $80

A shorter class for 1.5 hours fantastic for corporate get togethers, friends and hens parties!

Hand temper together on marble, create own chocolates and have fun!

4. Level 2 $290
This course focuses on the technique of hand tempering as learnt in Level 1. We then specialise in Artwork on Chocolate - by hand, by spray gun, by transfer & texture sheets, making caramels, pralines and other filled chocolates. Level 2 dates to be announced

5. Children's School Holiday Programme $80

(ages 5 - 11)
Hand temper together on marble, create own chocolate freckles, make chocolate nests & coloured chocolate frogs! Themed at Christmas and Easter

5. Private Groups
Available to book Wednesday through till Sunday (except last week of every month)
